A little history.
Samui's centre is a granite dome wrapped in coconut and rainforest, and the Na Muang streams fall through it in two stages — an easy lower cascade and a steeper eighteen-metre drop above. The falls were part of the plantation trails long before roads circled the island, and remain the classic escape from the coast on a hot afternoon.
