Heritage
A little history.
Koh Phangan stayed a fishing and coconut island longer than Samui, with its interior still largely national park. Thong Sala remains the working port, while the north and east coasts keep small bays reached by dirt road or boat — and Than Sadet's falls carry the carved initials of Thai kings who visited from the 1880s onwards.
