Heritage
A little history.
Bophut was a Chinese trading settlement where coconut boats loaded for the mainland, and its old teak and stucco shophouses survived the island's building boom almost untouched. They now hold restaurants, tailors and small hotels, and every Friday evening the lane closes to traffic for the walking street market.
