A little history.
Kom Ombo is unusual: a single temple built symmetrically for two deities — Sobek the crocodile god and Haroeris, a form of Horus. Its position at the water's edge makes it one of the few temples you can see from your cabin, and a small nearby museum displays mummified crocodiles found in the area.
