Tenerife · Canary Islands, Spain
Tenerife South
Sun-bleached beaches, marina promenades and long, unhurried evenings on the Costa Adeje shoreline.
Heritage
A little history.
Until the 1960s this was arid farmland and a handful of fishing hamlets. Tomato and banana plantations gave way to Europe's first purpose-built winter-sun resorts, and the south now enjoys roughly 300 days of sunshine a year — the reason airlines fly here in January.
